COVID-19 Precautions: Keeping You Safe at Seadar Inn

We are now open for the 2020 season, and we look forward to welcoming you at Seadar Inn by the Sea. While we understand that your Cape Cod vacation is focused on fun, we did want to take a moment to share what we’re doing to keep you and your family, and our team, safe and healthy as we move through the phased reopening of Massachusetts.

Notification of Massachusetts COVID-19 Travel Order

Effective August 1, 2020, all visitors and returning residents entering Massachusetts must follow new travel orders. The Commonwealth has made great progress to slow the spread of COVID-19 and gradually re-open the economy, and all visitors have a responsibility to help us keep transmission levels as low as possible.

  • All visitors and Massachusetts residents returning home — including students returning to campuses this fall — must fill out a “Massachusetts Travel Form” and quarantine for 14 days. People can also text MA Traveler to 888-777.
  • Exemptions include travelers from lower-risk states and people who can show a negative COVID-19 test administered no more than 72 hours prior to arriving in the Bay State. The current low-risk states are Colorado, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Vermont, Washington, Wyoming.
  • People must remain in quarantine until they receive negative test results, except for when going to get their test.
  • Failure to comply can result in a $500 fine per day.
  • Exceptions include people passing through or commuting across state lines for work, military personnel, critical infrastructure workers, and people seeking or receiving medical treatment.
  • Access to the Massachusetts Travel Form and additional information can be obtained from the following link: https://www.mass.gov/info-details/covid-19-travel-order#massachusetts-travel-form-

Our lobby is open for guest check-ins and check-outs only. Until social distancing guidelines are relaxed, we ask that you not spend unnecessary time in the lobby.

Please wear a face covering when checking in and out, and any time when social distancing is not possible on our property.

We are strictly adhering to all guidelines for sanitizing rooms between guest visits.

Daily housekeeping service has been temporarily suspended. No one will enter your room at any time throughout your visit unless requested. Fresh towels will be provided as needed.

For the time being, we are not providing a continental breakfast, and our dining room is closed. As an alternative we plan on providing each guest with a gift card to Cumberland Farms which is at the corner of Bank Street and Route 28 (a short walk).  They provide hot and iced coffee, and a variety of breakfast sandwiches and other breakfast items.  We chose the gift card approach because it can also be used for gas or any other purchase at Cumberland Farms if you choose to have breakfast at another venue.
