Hot Stove Saloon

A ‘hot stove’ refers to hub where locals gather to discuss a local sports team in the off-season; typically baseball. The aptly named Hot Stove Saloon is, in fact, a hub where locals gather. But despite the healthy dose of cool vintage baseball memorabilia hung on every available surface at the Hot Stove, it’s not a chance to talk about the sometimes-frustrating Boston Red Sox that keeps the cozy pub filled with both locals and visitors all year long. It’s the homemade pub food at reasonable prices served by friendly staff. If you order one of the big burgers or hefty sandwiches, go for the upgrade and get the zucchini fries. Trust us on this one; they’re so worth the extra $2. The food is typically of the stick-to-your-ribs variety; hot, hearty and filling…comfort food at its best. A nice selection of beers on tap, including some local brews, and wines by the glass along with seven big-screen TVs make this the perfect place for grabbing a bite; bonus points if the Sox are playing and actually winning.
