Bayberry Hills Golf Course
635 W Yarmouth Rd, West Yarmouth, MA
Because it’s surrounded by warm water, Cape Cod enjoys a longer, more temperate autumn than other regions in Southern New England which has made it a popular destination for golfers. With nearly 40 golf courses on Cape Cod, there’s usually a stellar course in each in town. In Yarmouth is Bayberry Hills, a public course which is owned and beautifully maintained by the Town of Yarmouth. The 27-hole course – Red, White and Blue courses – designed by famed golf course architects Geoffrey Cornish & Brian Silva, offers a challenging layout with multiple tees. The championship tees play the course at 7,200 yards. Each of the 9-hole courses is peppered with challenging holes. A dogleg here; a water hazard there and elevation changes nearly everywhere ensure that you’ll need to play virtually every club in your bag. Patience, determination and a spot-on swing from the tee will reap rewards. A misread on the wind direction on longer shots or ill-read putting green will end in frustration. But still; you’re golfing on Cape Cod so, either way, it’ll be a perfect day.
